4th of July week

The week of the 4th my parents came to visit. It was so much fun having them next time we will have to try and have the rest of the family come too. But it was a busy fun week. We went to some of Riley's T-ball games, we played baseball at the Becks, we took a trip to the zoo and to Ross park. All of which were a lot of fun. I think the favorite thing the kids did though was make tents in the basement and sleep in them with grandpa and grandma. On the 4th we celebrated it pretty traditional but it was a lot of fun. Nixon and I got up at 7 am for breakfast with grandpa doyle's ward. We came home and got everybody else up and headed to the parade. We got a good spot and even got some candy. After the parade we headed over grandpa and grandma's Beck to swim and ride jet ski's in the river, jumped on the tramp and rode bikes and of course had some delicious bbq food. After that we headed home to quickly shower and Mark went to the river to save our spots. The rest of us headed down a couple hours later with dinner. Mark got the perfect spot. There was plenty of room for all of our families and friends. While we waited we played cards and chatted with friends. The firework show was the best as always. It is the best west of the Mississippi, so you all need to come and visit and experience it some time!! We'd love to have you!! We had a great 4th of July, we are truly blessed to live in such a great nation and I hope I can teach my children what a great blessing and responsibility it is to live here.
